Q. I’ve noticed that you sometimes list multiple items for the same thing. For example, there are several “Stop Smoking” hypnosis sessions. Why is that? Why not just recommend the best one?

A. This is no oversight. We usually list several alternatives for a single area of concern – such as for quitting smoking. The reason is that everyone is different. There is no such thing as the “best one” for everyone – but certainly, different people will find that different alternatives will work best for them.

For example, an obvious variation between hypnosis sessions is that they come from different hypnotists. Every hypnotist will be different to some extent. Variations include type and style of trance induction, methodology, choice of words, cadence and emphasis of topic. Some people may also have a preference for a male voice while others may prefer a female voice. Similarly, some people may prefer a hypnotist with a North American accent while others may prefer a British accent.

Many of these qualities and variations can be readily identified by the tags at the bottom of the article that describes an item, such as a recorded hypnosis session. For example, “Voice Male” means that the voice on the audio will be male. You may notice that if you click on a tag then a list of all items that have been tagged with that value will be displayed.

Q. How will I know whether the hypnosis recording will be effective for me?

A. You have to try it! Really. Everyone is different and responds differently according to the hypnotist and the techniques that he or she uses. In other words, you could try one hypnotist and find that the session isn’t very effective for you but sessions from another hypnotists are very effective for you. Most hypnotists recognize this concern and therefore offer a money-back guarantee. These are usually for a period of at least 30 days, but are typically 60 or 90 days. Some even offer a whole year with a ‘no questions asked’ return policy.
